United Nations Youth Association-Ghana Swears In New Executives

The new leadership of the United Nations Youth Association-Ghana (UNYA-GH) has been sworn into office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration yesterday in Accra with a call on government and traditional leaders to involve the youth in decision-making processes in fulfillment of the UN Security Council Resolution 2250.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, the Country Head of UNYA-GH, Lilian Sally Addo said the Association which is the youth wing of the United Nations Association of Ghana (UNAGH); remains the only legitimate body duly recognize and certified by WFUNA to champion the course of the youth in Ghana as far as the UN is concerned.

She pledged the commitment of the new leadership to work hard for the interest of the youth; adding the Association is collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve its objectives.

Lilian Sally Addo further appealed to corporate bodies and development partners to come on board to support the activities of UNYA-GH.

The United Nations Youth Association-Ghana is the people's movement of the United Nations, working with and for the Ghanaian youth aimed at modelling the UN body and UN agenda.

UNYA-Ghana seeks among others to create greater spaces for the youth to participate meaningfully in the development of the country at all levels and particularly in peace processes.
