Deputy CEO of the Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Development Corporation, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu has tasked parents to be up and doing in raising their children.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ political discussion programme, he insisted that the rate at which the youth of the nation want to use every negative means in gaining wealth is appalling and must be dealt with seriously to prevent others from emulating them.

“It will be in a good contest that we adopt the community watch style of training our children, the era where an elderly person had the power to straighten up any child seen going wrong or doing the wrong thing since as parents we cannot follow our children at all times,” he said while commenting on the arrested persons in connection to the murder of the Sogakope assemblyman.

The former Bantama MP called on every parent to make sure they find time out of their busy schedules to train their children in a Godly manner to benefit the society so that they will not be influenced by bad company.

“Let’s train our children in a Godly manner to know wrong from right for a better society. This strategy will not make them join bad companies,” he ssaid.
