New Voter Register: Mame Yaa Aboagye, Dominic Eduah And Others Educate NPP Members (PHOTOS)

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it is ready to partake in the upcoming new voter’s registration execise which is scheduled for April 18, 2020 by the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana.

In view of this, the Communications Director, Mame Yaa Aboagye and her team met with some youth groups within the party to discuss and encourage them to register during the voter registration exercise.

According to Mame Yaa, the meeting will afford them the opportunity to be meticulous during the exercise.

The affable and hard-working Deputy Communications Director believes that the quality of the voters’ register will play a critical role in the electoral process. Thus an obsolete and incomplete register could not be relied on for electoral process hence the need for every youth in the party to support the EC and get registered.

“We will keep on organizing and encouraging our youth to get registered, we have always been consistent on the voter register and nothing can stop us…we are ready to work extra hard in a manner that will make it solid enough to support the Presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo to continue his good works…Four more for Nana to do more,” she said.

Dominic Eduah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for GNPC Foundation who was part of the team also appealed to the youth of the party to come out in their numbers to register when the exercise begins.

To him, any serious political party must go in line with the decision of the Electoral Commission (EC) adding “we in the NPP will always respect the decision of the EC because a new voter register which is more credible, transparent and trustworthy for election 2020 is our priority."

Also present at the meeting were Moses Abor (Greater Accra Youth Organizer), Salam Mustapha (Director for Operations at the Vice Presidents Office), Sylvester Tetteh (CEO NYA), and Bright Acheampong (Former Deputy CEO NYA).
