You Can't Sit At Home And Win An Election - John Dumelo Replies Critics

Actor turned politician John Dumelo has responded to critics of his campaign strategy which has spawned viral photographs from his recent engagements with residents of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

Critics of what appears to be Mr Dumelo's campaign strategy say he has gone out of his way to relate to ordinary people in order to win hearts and potentially votes.

He has been pictured on separate occasions pounding fufu, braiding hair, frying local pastries and pushing a garbage trolley on a door-to-door campaign in his constituency.

Responding to a query from a Twitter user about what gimmick was next on his campaign trail, Mr Dumelo posted: "Decide to contest in an election and sit at home and watch Al Jazeera and see if u go get 2 votes".
