COVID-19: Ban Nighclubs; No One Uses Sanitizer Before Dancing With A Lady - Sammy Gyamfi

Sammy Gyamfi, National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on President Akufo-Addo to ban Ghanaians from going to night clubs since it’s also a public gathering.

President Akufo-Addo banned public gathering and closed down schools in a recent broadcast after Ghana recorded six cases of the coronavirus.

Speaking on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Sammy Gyamfi wondered why night clubs were not included.

"How can you close down churches, how can you close down schools and allow nighclubs to operate . . . music is so loud that when one even coughs you won't realize it . . . the inconsistency, the incoherence of even directives the President has outlined is a problem, it doesn't make you see the seriousness . . . but we should add the nighclubs because it is also a potential area the disease can spread," he stated.

He said it will be wrong to even advise people to use hand sanitizers or wash their hands at the nightclubs asking, “who will look for a hand sanitizer when he’s got a woman to dance with (at the nightclub)?”
