COVID-19: The Fight Is Not Over Yet, But . . . - Prez Akufo-Addo Assures Ghanaians

President Nana Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to remain patient and cooperate with the government in the fight against the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

The President, during his 6th address to the nation on the COVID-19, stated that the fight against the pandemic is not over though the country has recorded considerably mild cases of the virus infections.

He disclosed that the number of cases recorded in Ghana currently stands at 378 but assured Ghanaians, in view of the measures put in place to remedy the situation; "the final result hopefully will be freedom from the virus".

'' . . this fight is not yet over. We are by no means out of the woods yet. As I said, we now have in total 378 confirmed cases of the infections with six (6) deaths, four (4) recoveries, two (2) in critical condition and the remaining 370 are mild cases who are in isolation and either being managed at home or at treatment centers. Fellow Ghanaians, I've come to you this evening to ask for your continued patience as we continue to implement and extend the efforts that have so far proven to be helpful. It is important that we stay the course and bear with the difficulties that come with it," he stressed.
