It is really exciting to see the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. John Boadu, further deepening the presence of the party through his country-wide media outreaches.
This is helping calm a lot of nerves and addressing the very issues that are begging for answers within the rank and file...
It is equally curing the mischief and the internal propaganda of certain elements within the party who have peculiar interest in either the parliamentary primaries or futuristic ambitions, some of which are clearly unsustainable.
It is also a good avenue for addressing some of the issues raised by the NDC, that otherwise would have been responded to by a full blown press conference, with its financial implications...
The wise one as I prefer to describe him going forward has also used the opportunity to occasionally offer some level of protection or sing the song of the EC better in terms of educating the general populace on the stance of the EC and what ought to be the approach going forward to deliver credible elections...
The solid historical background of the party that usually accompanies his explanations of current events goes to re-awaken and rekindle the spirit of patriotism among the rank and file of the party...
His posture of informing the party members of the need for sacrifice, dedication & identifying one self with the polling station or constituency and serving the party regardless of where you find yourself, goes to rebut the thinking among certain sections of the party that one requires to have his ancestry traced from the formation of UGCC or during the formation of the party in 1992 before he can rise to certain positions within the party....
I heard him providing some amazing insights into some of the government's programmes and interventions during one of such media encounters on Asempa FM.
As the Chief Scribe of the party, such education goes a long way to support able lieutenants on the battle field... We get excited and feel that, once the general is ready to get himself dirty, there's no need for us as lieutenants to be clothed in white apparel....
We are encouraged and believe in the path you have chosen over the past couple of months...
Today 18th May 2020, I was scheduled to speak on Atinka TV with Anthony, the NDC organiser for Greater Accra and later joined by Mr Kwasi Pratt on Atinka fm... In the course of the programme, a question was asked "How prepared is the New Patriotic party for the next general election?
This question was easy because I got the apor from the submission of the General Secretary, Mr John Boadu, during his encounter on the programme, the platform on peace Fm, a couple of days ago ....
It is a common practice for the party to issue press releases after a meeting with far reaching consequences on the party rank and file to keep the party updated on decision taken at various levels of the party structure particularly national council meetings.
However such media engagements offer explanations into the spirit and letter of decisions taken earlier on...
Such conduct coming from the General Secretary, becomes a yardstick for other party leaders across the regions and constituencies to emulate...
