COVID-19: STL Amandi Foundation Donates Cash And PPEs To Gov’t

The STL Amandi Foundation (SAF) has donated 100,000 masks, coveralls, food supply, and 180,000 Ghs to the Covid-19 fund to support government's fight against COVID-19.

The donation will contribute to Ghana’s COVID-19 response by enabling the Government to continue to support frontline workers and volunteers engaged in fighting the pandemic, as well as vulnerable people who have been affected by the virus.

STL Group undertakes its philanthropic activities through SAF, an acronym of STL & Amandi Foundation.

SAF has dedicated its volunteer efforts to support and promote the education, health, and welfare of children and adults both in near and far communities.

They promote education and good health by supporting over 1500 school children-in-need through a network of volunteers made up of Ghanaian’s and Israeli’s residing in Ghana.

Over the years, the group has supported Gye Nyame, an Israeli led team of doctors and health professionals operating in remote communities in the Ashanti Region, providing medical services to remote communities through several clinics and a mobile ambulance.

Presenting the cash and PPEs at a short ceremony in Accra, the Group MD of STL, Nadav Simhoni, said committed as they are to the development and empowerment of communities, through the promotion of education, health, and welfare of children and adults, they understand the need to help the most vulnerable of those in these challenging times.

"There has never been a more important moment for us to demonstrate this commitment. This donation is one of the many ways SAF is supporting the Government efforts to fight the spread of the coronavirus in Ghana,” he added.

The Minister of Health, Hon Kwaku Agyeman Manu, who received the items on behalf of government's COVID-19 Team, thanked STL Amandi Foundation for supporting Ghana at this critical time and also providing support to the vulnerable over the years.

“We are poised to ensure that the donation is used for the sole purpose of supporting frontline workers, volunteers and the vulnerable in the COVID-19 fight”, he said.
