NPP Primaries: Cocoa Season For Some Delegates As Each Receive $1200
Voting has currently ended in the New Juaben South constituency.
The contest is between the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. Mark Assibey Yeboah and the Director of the Ghana Free Zones, Mr Michael Okyere Baafi.
Michael Akrofi in an update from the constituency reported that delegates who took part in the election had their pockets filled with dollars and Ghana cedis.
According to him, one of the candidates; alleged to be the incumbent, shared $1200 to delegates he felt were on his side.
The other candidate also reportedly shared between GHC3000 - 4000.
Meanwhile, some delegates have already started jubilating even though it is not yet known which candidate has won
Unconfirmed reports also indicated that Smart TVs and other items were shared at Dome-Kwabenya constituency
