Jubilation in Agona West Constituency as the incumbent, Mrs. Cynthia Mamle Morrison retains her seat to contest the 2020 general election.

Provisional results show that Cynthia Morrison won comfortably with 584 votes as against Obodai Samuel who had 171 and Yawson Otoo, 23 votes according to the Electoral Commission returning officer.

The Agona West Constituency seat can be described as one of the swing constituencies in the Central Region, having been won by the two leading political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) respectively.

Mrs. Cynthia Morrison, Gender and Children Ministry is set to face the opposition NDC Paul Ofori comes 2020 general election.
