On Sunday, June 21, 2020, the Member of Parliament for Weija Gbawe Constituency Hon. Tina Mensah and I had a hearty chat hence I did congratulate her for a successful acclamation as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for our August party and Constituency.

Winner in this whole scheme is our great party the NPP and it's teeming members and supporters in Ghana and the Diaspora and in the process also deepened our image and identity as beacons of Ghana's democratic tenets as well as forebears of democracy globally.

The peaceful nature of the entire exercise means calls for praise for the Party and its teeming supporters and Executives from the National, Regional, and Constituencies for ensuring that the primaries were generally peaceful, except for a few disturbances that were recorded in some constituencies.

After all, there are no victors and losers in this regard since its the NPP which is the winner.

In that vein, I call on all party members and my teeming supporters within the Weija Gbawe Constituency to bury our differences and support wholeheartedly Hon. Tina Mensah our Parliamentary Candidate as well as the Constituency Executives and Polling Station Executives (Delegates) to campaign vigorously for our great party to chalk massive victory in the upcoming December 7, 2020, Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Because, just like any contest, political party internal elections and wranglings are no exceptions from high expectations to low keys and moreso, its not a "Do or Die" affair.

I believe heeding to this call by all and sundry will go a long way to boost the electoral fortunes of the NPP in Weija Gbawe Constituency so that we can continue to maintain the seat and even win with higher margins than we did in previous years.

Let us also remind ourselves that as we move to foster peace, unity and maintain the power we have by working as a unit to win this December 7, 2020 elections we must adhere to all strict preventive measures and protocols against the spread of the deadly COVID-19 Pandemic.

Let us keep to the strict social distancing rules, wash our hands and sanitize our hands frequently, and let’s all stay safe.

Once again congratulations to the NPP, Hon. Tina Mensah and Weija Gbawe Constituency delegates for showing patriotism in this regard.
