Covid-19: Kumawu NDC Chairman Supports The Fight

Mr Hamidu Issaka, Kumawu Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has donated quantities of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all the constituency leaders of the Party.

The aim is to assist the branch executives and all other leaders playing various roles in the Party, to protect themselves from catching and spreading the coronavirus in their communities.

The item, which included face masks and hand sanitizers, were also to motivate and encourage the grassroots of the Party to be able to conduct their campaigns without much difficulty in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Oyoko after the presentation, Mr Issaka said the exercise was to support the grassroots and volunteers of the Party who always cared and toiled for the Party to win elections.

“This is not a political gimmick, but a demonstration of the fact that our grassroots and volunteers mattered in being kept safe and protected from contracting and spreading the disease,” he emphasized.

According to him, all the 66 branches of the Constituency would receive the items and urged all Party members not to politicize government directives for curbing the further spread of the disease in the country.

Mr. Abu Mohammed, the branch Executive Chairman of the Oyoko Zongo, commended the Constituency Chairman for the philanthropic gesture and assured him of the judicious use of the items.

He called on all Party members and sympathizers to observe all government preventive and protection directives and protocols, to remain safe and protected from the disease.
