Nana B Stings NDC, Mahama After U-Turn On New Voters’ Registration Exercise

Henry Nana Boakye, National Youth Organiser of the NPP is surprised the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has metamorphosed and is now calling on their followers to take part in the new voter  registration exercise scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 30.

He has described them as 'confused' and a party engaging in 'try and error'.

The NDC after the Supreme Court gave its ruling on a case filed against the Electoral Commission (EC) asked its members to go and register.

Former President Mahama and flagbearer of the NDC tasked all members to turn up in their numbers if the EC commence the voters’ registration exercise on June 30, 2020.

“I want to remind all our citizens that, this year is an election year. The Electoral Commission has decided that it wants to conduct a registration exercise. We had disagreements with the Electoral Commission on what register to use and the matter has been at the Supreme Court and we are waiting for the Supreme Court for its verdict. Whatever verdict the Supreme Court gives, we are ready to be law-abiding citizens so we shall respect the verdict of the court. But whatever the verdict is, there is going to be a registration exercise whether a limited registration, new registration exercise, or validation of an existing register. Whichever registration it is, I will like to plead with Togbui to beat the gong to all our people to come out and register so that in December they can register and exercise their votes,” Mahama said.

However, Nana B speaking in an interview on Neat FM expressed surprise that after all the demonstrations and 'waste of money', they will register afterall.

"The NDC has shown that they are not a serious political party, they lack direction and focus . . . as if they just want to try and see if it works . . . you have a flagbearer who after all these things is urging his followers to go and register . . . this is so confusing. This really shows the NDC doesn't know what they are doing or what they are about. Just wasting everybody's time . . .wasting of money on demonstrations," he intimated.
