Voters' Registration Exercise: EC Officials, Police Struggle To Ensure Social Distancing Amid COVID-19
The compilation of the new Voters' registration exercise has started in earnest today.
The exercise will be held in some 6,788 clusters made up of five registration centers each across the country.
It will be conducted in 5 phases, each phase spanning 6 days with additional days for mop-up.
Peace FM reporters monitoring the process, has reported that everybody present at the registration centres are wearing their face masks and abiding by other COVID-19 protocols except for social distancing.
According to them some of the EC officials and police personnel are having a hard time ensuring that people maintain a distance between them due to the huge number of residents who have stormed the centres for registration.
