COVID-19 Appears To Be A 'Designer Virus', It Keeps Mutating - Ghanaians Urged To Adhere To Safety Protocols

Minisiter of Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has pleaded with Ghanaians to adhere to the safety protocols and the mandatory wearing of nose masks to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful wondered why many Ghanaians have refused to wear the nose masks which is to protect them against the disease.

She expressed worry that the disease case count keeps increasing and feared it might get worse should Ghanaians continue to disregard the protocols asking ''do we have to force doctors to make that elections about who to treat, who will survive, who to live and who to let die?''

"I plead with Ghanaians that every life is precious. Adhering to the protective protocols will save somebody's life, so let's all take this seriously . . . Nobody knows the behaviour of this disease. It appears it is a designer virus. It keeps mutating. We're learning something new everyday. Why do you want to risk the disease to use you as an experiment?" she asked.

"The more we protect ourselves; the better this disease will be over," she stressed.
