Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang Has Done Well For Herself, But . . . - Dr. Amoako Baah
Dr Richard Amoako Baah, a Political Scientist has waded into the ongoing discussions about John Mahama's Running Mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.
John Mahama’s announcement of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has generated intense criticism by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who has raised doubt over her credibility and integrity.
However, the NDC disagrees.
At a press conference led by Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC described the first female Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast as "a responsible and caring mother of three and a loving grandmother".
Speaking to Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Neat FM's Me Man Nti programme, Dr Amoako Baah said even though the woman has made a name for herself; politics is not about names or titles.
"When she was the Minister of Education I was not impressed . . . I was disappointed she advocated for the Twi policy (using local language to teach kids) . . . the woman has done well for herself but that is not what we are talking about, we are talking about someone who can bring a change,” he said.
" . . I will commend him (John Mahama) for choosing a woman, but as she has been selected and given that opportunity, she has to perform,” he added.
