Students Who Get Infected With COVID During Exams Will Write In 2021 - GES

Chairman of the GES Council, Mr Michael Nsowah has indicated that students who might get infected during the WASSCE examination period will be able to do so next year.

Beginning Monday, July 20, 2020, some 313,837 final year Senior High School students will start writing this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to Mr Nsowah, everything is set for the exams and measures have been put in place to follow the COVID-19 protocols.

Asked what mechanism has been put in place should any student test positive during the examination, said: "a student who tests positive or shows symptoms of COVID will be isolated...it depends on the number; if they are not able to write, they can do so next year".

Mr Nsowah was speaking on Neat FM's Me Man Nti programme.
