Bono East: Minister Cuts Sod For Construction Of 214 KM Feeder Roads At Atebubu-Amantin

Residents of over forty farming communities in Atebubu/Amantin constituency of the Bono East region have expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo and the MP for the area, Kofi Amoakohene for cutting sod to begin construction of a 214 km feeder road in the constituency.

Resident-farmers at the area who were happy construction has commenced said it is going to reduce their burden of sending their farm produce to market centres and also visit hospitals on time whenever they fall sick.

The 214 kilometers road which will traverse communities such as Dauda Akuraa, Kotope, Bakyaso, Fiano, Trohwe, Janjawura, Aworoso, Aseebu, Kongo Akuraa, YawTufour, Dagomba Akuraa, Kwaakye Akuraa, Abamba, Kwadwo Kuma will improve the economic activities of these areas.

Honourable Kofi Amoakohene who is also the Bono East Regional Minister after cutting the sod and handed over to the contractor stated that the road is being financed by the World Bank at a cost of $150m and urged the contractor to endeavor to complete it within the stipulated period of 24 months.

He assured the people of more projects which are going to improve their lives in the constituency.

He therefore appealed to them to always support government since it is only the NPP party that can bring development to improve their lives
