Government in its 2020 mid-year review budget says plans are underway to revamp Ghana’s railway lines across the country.
The Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has told Parliament during his presentation today, Thursday, 23 July 2020 that the colonial rail layout will be replaced in due time.
“We set out to modernize the railway system and effectively replace the colonial rail layout. Since 2017, we have committed GH¢566.66 million to cover works on the construction and rehabilitation of railway lines,” he said.
