WAEC Has Other Alternatives If, . . .  – Samuel Ayeh-Paye On Leaked Exam Papers

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano constituency, Samuel Ayeh-Paye, has dismissed reports of government’s involvement in the alleged leaked WASSCE papers.

According to him, “government has nothing to do with the examination leakage. WAEC is an independent body under West Africa Examination Council which has nothing to with the government."

Hon. Ayeh-Paye also advised final year students to concentrate on their studies and not on the fake leaked question papers.

Speaking on UTV's Adekye Nsroma programme, he stated that the leaked questions, known in Ghanaian parlance as “Apor” are not reliable.

“If indeed the papers were leaked, WEAC still have other alternatives to come out with new questions different from the leaked one for the students to write. So, there is no cause for alarm. Yes, it is true that the government expects the children to pass and that is why it has introduced the Free SHS programme, giving them free books and other materials that will help their studies."

“Concentrate on what you have been taught in school because that is what WEAC is going to base questions on . . . I will urge the students to study hard rather than relying on 'Apor',” he said.
