Ahwoi’s ‘Working With Rawlings’: Kwesi Pratt Defends Prof Jane Naana

The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has mounted a strong defence for John Mahama's running mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

Jane Naana following the launch of Prof Kwamena Ahwoi's "Working With Rawlings" book has come under heavy criticisms.

According to critics, as one of the editors or reviewers of the book, she could have advised Prof Ahwoi to remove parts that are 'damaging' and can affect the NDC negatively.

However, Kwesi Pratt who thinks the release of Ahwoi’s book is wrongly timed says its wrong to blame Prof Opoku-Agyemang for the 'heat' coming to the NDC.

"It is not correct to criticize Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and blame her . . . nowhere in this foreword does she support the positions in the book," he indicated while contributing to a political discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo'.

Background

"Working for Rawlings" chronicles Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi’s experience while working with former President Jerry John Rawlings.

The motive of the book, however, has been questioned by many who believe the book is a tool to discredit former President Jerry John Rawlings.

Many have said it is out there to damage the NDC and some persons at the helm of affairs in the party.
