John Mahama’s Victory In 2020 Much Clearer Than Atta Mills’ In 2008 - Kofi Adams

Former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Kofi Adams is convinced by the happenings in the country that his party led by former President John Dramani Mahama will win the 2020 general election scheduled for December 7, 2020.

According to him, the chances of the opposition party wrestling power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) are much brighter in 2019, than the led up to the 2007, when the late Prof John Evans Atta-Mills won the 2008 elections.

In 2007, I saw it very clear that the NDC was going to win the 2008 election and so I took the necessary steps to resign from the work I was doing then so that I will dedicate my time and everything to the party in terms of mobilizing the youth”.

“In 2019, a year before another general election, the chance I saw and still see for the NDC is much clearer than the one I saw in 2007 and so the new song that a certain young man has brought out recently with the title “Aba Yi Dea, Mahama Afa” is very apt because the NPP in opposition was not truthful to Ghanaians; they used lies to come to power,” he charged.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Mr. Kofi Adams who is the NDC's Buem Parliamentary Candidate for this year's elections, was emphatic that the very same lies told by the NPP which brought them to power will send them back into opposition.

Did you not hear the Vice President, when he catalouging achievements of the NPP claim they have paid all allowances of nurses? Yesterday, we saw some nurses picketing in front of the Sanitation Ministry and they sent the police to go and beat them up. The nurses said that they were given t-shirts to thank H.E Nana Akufo-Addo for paying their allowances while they had not received a dime from the government”.

“So, the lies that brought them to power, they are peddling the lies in government but the truth has exposed their lies. They claimed to have paid all the contractors, but that is also far from the truth as the contractors also claim they have not been paid,” he stated.

The former NDC National Organiser further accused President Akufo-Addo of peddling falsehoods when he asserted that 98 percent of the aggrieved customers of collapsed banks have been paid their locked up investments.

The same government, through President Akufo-Addo, said that they have paid 98 percent of the aggrieved customers of liquidated banks but none of the customers has received any payment. So, you can find your way into power with lies but don’t expect to remain in power with lies forever; the truth will expose you one day,” he slammed.
