NANA B Dazes NDC’s Opare Addo In Debate Over Akufo-Addo’s Track Record

The much anticipated youth debate between the youth leaders of NPP and NDC took place on Monday, August 17, 2020 in the studios of Asempa Fm as NPP National Youth Organizer, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) dazed his colleague NDC National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo with massive youth related achievements of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Opare Addo appeared on the show sounding uncollected as the gargantuan achievements of Nana Addo’s government dwarfed the 8 years uninspiring youth achievements of the NDC.

Cataloging the unprecedented job opportunities given to the youth by President Akufo-Addo’s government, Nana B stated that “100,000 youths have benefited from the NABCO program; 90,696 health workers recruited since 2017; financial clearance given for the recruitment of 27,367 teaching and non-teaching staff which will bring to a total of 93,724 employed in the education sector only since 2017. Under One District One Factory, seventy six (76) factories are up and running and these companies have employed tens of thousands of Ghanaian youth”.

Whiles Opare Addo struggled, albeit unsuccessful, to use his first 15 minis to rebut about 3 out of the over 14 massive employment opportunities stated by Nana B, the latter gave the former another uppercut relative to the historic achievements of the NPP in the education sector, rendering the youth leader of the NDC confused and resorting to personal attacks, innuendos and voodoo analysis.

“Under the game-changing Free SHS policy, 1.2 million pupils have benefited coupled with about 8,000 youth employed to teach under the double track arrangement. It is instructive to note that Free SHS is the reason why Akosombo Textiles company is up and running and has employed hundreds of the youth” Nana B emphasized.

Nana B delineated further on the over 1,200 infrastructural projects in SHSs, the revived government schorlaship schemes that have benefited tens of thousands of youth, restoration of the trainees allowance among others.

Opare Addo having been humiliated and forced into a state of awe, had to apologize to the Ghanaian youth for the failure of the erstwhile Mahama government, especially the cancellation of the trainees allowance.

Reports from the NDC rank and file and at the leadership level have it that the youth of the NDC are very much disenchanted about the poor performance of Opare Addo in the debate.
