Stop Pretending You Care For Ghanaians - Chief Biney Tells Prez Akufo-Addo

NDC Deputy National Youth Organizer, Chief Biney says President Nana Akufo-Addo should stop pretending he cares for Ghanaians.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has dismissed claims by former President John Mahama that his government is providing freebies to induce Ghanaian electorates to vote for him come December 7, 2020.

Delivering his 15th update on the Coronavirus situation in Ghana on Sunday, August 16, 2020, he said his administration was providing critical help to households, families and businesses in the midst of the pandemic, indicating that those claiming he is dishing out freebies got it wrong.

“It is my conviction that in times of crisis, it is the duty of responsible and sensitive government to protect the population and provide relief,” the President said.

But to Chief Biney, the President is only taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation to induce Ghanaian electorates.

“Let’s stop the propaganda . . . the President’s freebies is not about caring . . . the ‘I care’ statement from the President is a pure political talk. He has no alternative than to give Ghanaians what is due them. Yes, because we have allowed him to go for loan on our behalf to solve the Coronavirus pandemic.”

“I can see, because of the election, the President is behaving as if he is doing us a favour instead of executing his core mandate as a President . . . whatever you are giving us is our entitlement and not as if you care,” he added.
