President Nana Akufo-Addo won the 2016 elections with 53.85% against the then sitting President, John Dramani Mahama in the first round to become the first opposition candidate to win an outright majority vote in first round of Presidential elections.

With this, the Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Mame Yaa Aboagye is optimistic President Akufo-Addo will retire Mr. Mahama from the Presidential race by winning the 2020 elections.

According to her, President Akufo-Addo has outperformed in all sectors of the economy, hence believing Ghanaians will massively endorse and renew his mandate in the December elections.

“I am optimistic President Akufo-Addo will win and win decisively, come 2020 elections. He will humbly retire candidate Mahama on the basis of the amazing policies, interventions and developmental projects sprung up across the country by the NPP government. He will retire candidate Mahama in shame and agony instead of the dignity that otherwise he would have been deserving.”

She pledged the government’s unflinching commitment to meeting the needs and aspirations of the citizenry.
