I Didn’t Listen To Bawumia’s Infrastructure Presentation; Had Important Things To Do - Gen. Mosquito

General Secretary of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the presentation by Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia could not be better and more important than his official work.

According to him, he did not have interest and spare time to watch or listen to the presentation of Dr. Bawumia on NPP’s infrastructure achievements.

“I didn’t get time to listen or watch Dr. Bawumia’s presentation and it does not interest me. I had better things to do and so yesterday was the only day for me to work on very important issues in the office after spending many days on the field during the voters’ registration exercise. Yesterday, I had to put my phones off and lock myself up in the office to focus on very important work,” he said.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, the NDC Chief Scribe said he did not follow whatever the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia and his entourage presented except to see that people rather assessed his performance and compared on social media what Dr. Bawumia said in 2016 to the presentation.

General Mosquito as popularly called said that his concern has to do with the role of the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia in the policing and security of the country as those are his responsibility as enshrined in the constituency coupled with the current state of security in the country.

"We should rather assess and evaluate the security situation in the country to see if the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia has done well or not because he is the Chairman of the Ghana Police Council. What is the state of policing in the country? What is the state of security in the country?” he rhetorically asked.
