Any Review Will Be A "Mindless Execution", Don't Dare Touch Akufo-Addo's Free SHS - Baako Warns Mahama

Seasoned journalist, Kweku Baako says any government or individual that attempts to ''review'' President Nana Akufo-Addo's free Senior High School (SHS) policy will face a passionately strong opposition.

According to Kweku Baako, the free SHS policy is a groundbreaking, historic social intervention ever initiated by a government in the country and shouldn't be tampered with or canceled for any reason.

He applauded President Akufo-Addo for boldly executing the policy which is said to have so far benefited about 1.2 million SHS students.

The opposition National Democratic Congress, under the leadership of their 2020 Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama, has indicated the party will review the policy if re-elected during the general elections.

Critics believe the NDC review means the party will cancel the free SHS policy.

Contributing to Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' on Wednesday, Kweku Baako warned the opposition party and all governments not to dare touch the free SHS policy saying "the successful implementation of the free SHS is ground-breaking. It's historic. It is not a joke. It's a huge investment in our human resource development; big big time social investment. Nobody should underestimate that. As a socialist myself, sometimes I envy the NPP for executing this broad-based social intervention. It's no joke. Take it from me; it needed courage."

"I don't think there ever will be any administration who will attempt to take this thing back. Look, if you did, it will be a mindless execution of policy. Mindless! It's come to stay. Any attempt to touch will backfire in your face," he stressed.
