FIFA has ordered Club Africain of Tunisia to pay $120,000 to Ghana's two-time league champions, Aduana Stars, for the transfer of Derrick Sasraku or risk facing a three-year transfer ban.

In addition, the Tunisian side is to pay 10 per cent interest of the total amount to Aduana Stars, as well as a final cost of 3,000 Swiss Francs to FIFA, courtesy Ashford Tettey Oku's CLOSEmarking CONSULT (CMC).


According to the decision signed by the Head of FIFA Player Status Commitee, Erika Montemor Ferreira, on August 31, 2020, Club Africain has 45 days to pay Aduana Stars or face further sanctions.

In what can be described as a double-jeopardy for the Tunisian side, FIFA had earlier in April ordered Club African to pay $79,000 outstanding entitlement and $47,000 to the player for breach of contract, in addition to 18 per cent interest per annum from August 2019.

Briefing Graphic Sports Online, the CEO od CMC, Mr Ashford Tettey Oku, said Aduana Stars transferred Sasraku to Club Africain for $120,000, payable in two equal instalments, on August 26 and November 11, 2018 respectively upon receipt of the International Transfer Certificate (ITC).


However, all attempts by Aduana Stars, through the Ghana Football Association (GFA), to recover the money failed, compelling them to engage the services of CMC as a legal representative in May 2020 to seek justice.

"Consequently, we filed all processes before FIFA on overdue payable," Mr Oku revealed.

"In the August 25 decision by FIFA, Club Africain has 45 days to pay $60,000 plus five per cent interest per annum from August 26, 2018 to September 3, 2020 and another $60,000 plus five per cent interest per annum from November 16, 2018 to September 3, 2020," he explained.

An elated Mr Ashford Tettey Oku, said he was happy to have justified the confidence reposed in him by the Dormaahene, Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II, owner of Aduana Stars FC.
