Nana Fredua & Prof.Osafo Congratulate PPP Flagbearer

Board Chairman of the National Theatre, Nana Fredua Agyeman Ofori-Atta has congratulated the 2020 Presidential candidate of the People's Progressive Party (PPP).

The PPP has named the party's 2016 flagbearer, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom’s Running Mate, Brigitte Dzogbenuku, as their flagbearer to lead the party into the December 7 general elections.

Delivering an acceptance speech at the party's virtual Congress, madam Brigitte Dzogbenuku said “we have been so disappointed and disempowered repeatedly with each subsequent election that we have lost hope and trust, even in our own capabilities, and in our own power to change things'' and therefore promised that ''as flagbearer of the PPP, I'm here to restore that hope and give you trust again”.

She further extolled her virtues as being hard working, honest and a woman of integrity.

Speaking on ''Kokrokoo'' on Peace FM, Nana Fredua applauded the PPP for electing a woman as their flagbearer.

He believed she wasn't elected on her being a woman but rather because she possesses the right credentials to lead the PPP.

"Brigitte is courageous and truthful; so if the PPP has done well to elect her."

Head of Psychology at the University of Ghana, Prof. Joseph Osafo, speaking on the same programme, also commended the PPP flagbearer stressing her candidature is a major motivation to women in the country.

"The message it sends to all women is that you can do it," he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.
