Afram Plains South is a constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The population of the district according to 2010 population and housing census stands at 115,812.

It's considered a stronghold of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and has voted continuously for the party in the past 6 elections: 1996 - 2016, both parliamentary and presidential.

The Member of Parliament for this constituency is Eric Osei Owusu. He however, lost his reelection bid during the NDC Parliamentary primaries.
