Ghana Election 2020: Pattern Of Voting In Atiwa West Constituency

Atiwa West constituency is located in the Eastern Region and has a population of 110,662 according to the 2010 population and housing census.

It is considered a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Per data compared from 1996 to 2016 elections, the NPP tops continuously; in terms of votes, both presidential and parliamentary.

The incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency is Kwasi Amoako-Attah. His journey as the MP started in 2010 after he won the Atiwa by-election.

He contested again in 2012 and 2016 parliamentary election and won massively with over 70 percent of the total vote cast in both elections.

Meanwhile, he's seeking reelection in the forthcoming December 7 election.
