New Juaben North constituency is located in the Eastern Region and it's considered a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP)

Per data compared from 1996 to 2016 elections, the NPP tops continuously; in terms of votes, both presidential and parliamentary.

The incumbent Member of Parliament, Kwasi Boateng Adjei of the NPP has been on the seat since 2012.

Hon Adjei-Boateng who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Local Government is seeking reelection in the upcoming December 7 election.

Meanwhile, Sampson Oti Boateng, a Parliamentary aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has promised to give the Deputy Minister a run for his money.
