Jerry Asare has been appointed to serve on the Kumasi Asante Kotoko Board by the club�s owner, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Mr. Asare�s appointment takes effect from today, May 20, 2011, according to the appointment letter.
The Asantehene has directed Mr. Asare, who is a luminary in football administration, to use his expertise to ensure the development of Kotoko. His appointment letter was authored by the Asantehene�s Personal Administrative Secretary, Kofi Owusu Boateng.
The letter reads, �I have been directed by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to appoint you to serve on the Board of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club with effect from 20th May, 2011.�
The letter further states, �It is hoped that you will work hard to justify the confidence reposed in you by Otumfuo.� Mr. Jerry Asare is a dye-in-the-wool Kotoko member who has over the years contributed significantly both in cash and kind to positively transform Kotoko.
