South Dayi constituency is located in the Volta Region of Ghana and it’s considered a safe seat for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The opposition NDC has held on to power in the constituency for years as efforts for the NPP to take over have proved futile.

According to 1996 to 2016 election statistics, the NDC consecutively wins both presidential and parliamentary elections with a huge margin.

Meanwhile, the incumbent Member of Parliament for this constituency is Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor and he is seeking reelection.

He will be locking horns with Patrick Marlet, parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and an MCE of South Dayi.
