Insults Between Mills And Konadu Supporters Shows Immaturity And Ignorance

The NDC Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo and a leading member of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings Campaign Team has described the ongoing fight and name calling among the supporters of the former First Lady and incumbent president, John Mills in the media as most unfortunate, very unhealthy and a great display of immaturity and ignorance. He was speaking on XFMs Morning Show the Big Bite with Abena Asiedua Tenkorang. As the date gradually draws close for congress, supporters of the two camps have not hidden their rivalry; sometimes going overboard to use vituperations and other derogatory remarks against each other and the candidates. However, Mr. Nyaunu says since the contest is an internal affair, it demands no fighting at all, adding that even when fowls are fighting, they dont peck their eyes off each other. He stressed that the fights are uncalled for, and will not help the cause both sides are embarking on in the party. Meanwhile, the Nana Konadu loyalist, has expressed surprise about the suppose negative propaganda being waged by the Enquirer newspaper in a publication in its Friday May 20 edition alleging that, the Hon. MP was rescued by a woman from being lynched at Akuse by his constituents. The paper reported that, at the said meeting, delegates wanted to lynch him for the supposed lies he was peddling about President Mills as well as his lack of performance as an MP in the area and was saved by the woman from being beaten by the angry constituents. Hon Nyaunu, however, explained that the said meeting was to meet his constituents about the developments in the area and not the scenario described by the paper saying categorically that the publication was not true.
