The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (Ghana EXIM), Lawrence Agyinsam, has donated a Toyota Hilux pickup to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Twifo Heman Lower Denkyira constituency.

The vehicle is to be used to enhance the campaign of the party in the areas where the party’s chances look dim.
The CEO, who was the party’s 2012 parliamentary candidate for the area, also donated 600 t-shirts, 200 aprons, two sets of jerseys, 100 pairs of footwear, 400 face shields, and a cash amount of GHC20, 000.

Mr. Agyinsam further promised to take charge of all costs in maintaining the pick-up, including the salary of the driver and provision of fuel, from now till the December 7 general election is over.

He made the donation over the weekend after a peace and victory walk organized by Nana Hagan, a defeated NPP parliamentary aspirant in the June primaries of the party.

Unity
Presenting the items, Mr. Agyinsam eulogized the party leadership in the area for the unity of purpose to ensure that the party retains the Twifo Heman Lower Denkyira seat, which it wrested from the NDC in 2016.

He assured the people of his continuous support for the activities of the party.
He called on all members of the party to emulate the maturity exhibited by Nana Hagan and Bright Wireko-Brobbey who, even though contested in the primaries, are both working together to ensure that the party retains the seat.

Akufo-Addo’s faithfulness

For his part, the MP for the area, Bright Wireko-Brobbey, stated that President Akufo-Addo has been faithful to the people of the area and is therefore incumbent on them to reciprocate same with a thank you vote.
The MP, who is also the Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, said his appointment as a deputy minister and the appointment of Mr. Agyinsam as CEO of the Ghana EXIM are proof of the President’s faithfulness to the people of the area.

He also highlighted some developmental projects that have been sent to the area since 2017 and called on the people to remember the President in the December 7 general election.
