Media Must Be Circumspect In Their Reportage On Corruption – Owusu Bempah

Communications Director at the Ghana Gas Company, Ernest Owusu Bempah has cautioned the media to be circumspect in their reportage on corruption issues.

According to him, it is important as a journalist to dig deep into issues and find enough evidence before reporting.

Speaking on UTV’s ''Adekye Nsroma'', Owusu Bempah also revealed that he has picked intelligence on attempts by the opposition NDC to fabricate corruption stories to tarnish the image of the government.

Some of the intelligence we have picked revealed that some of the media houses in the country will be throwing stories just to get people to have the perception that the government is corrupt to create equalization just like Martin Amidu’s resignation. No government official has been arrested nor the President has been accused of engaging in any corrupt practices; just a mere statement and people have started jumping on it trying to create equalization. Ignore every corruption allegation leveled against the government because it is not true.”
