Dec 7 Elections: All Electorates Must Go And Vote - Prof Agyekum

Dean of the School of Performing Arts of the University of Ghana, Professor Kofi Agyekum, popularly known as Opanyin Agyekum has advised the over 17 million Ghanaian electorates to exercise their right to vote on Monday, December 7, 2020.

According to him, it is unacceptable for any voter to abstain from the elections because the election of a leader for the country is very crucial to the progress of the nation.

Making his submissions on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Opanyin Agyekum stated that no matter how disappointed an electorate is in a candidate or the hurtful feelings he or she has due to an ill treatment by a politician, it is however incumbent on him or her to go to the polling station and cast his ballot.

"Everybody must go and vote . . . It's a civic responsibility; the duty of the entire nation," he said.

He also warned the electorates against perpetrating violence during the general elections and called on them to ensure peace and harmony when voting.
