Mahama's Adamant Character Doesn't Augur Well For The Country. - Kwamena Duncan Fumes

Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan says former President John Dramani Mahama is disturbing public peace with his persistent unwillingness to accept defeat.

Mr. John Mahama, who contested this year's Presidential elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), lost to the incumbent President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo was declared President-elect by the Electoral Commission after polling 6,730,587 representing 51.30% while Mr. Mahama polled 6,213,182 votes representing 47.35%.

Following the election verdict, Mr. Mahama has made series of statements refusing to concede after enough votes had come in to show he lost the elections.

He claims the election results had been skewed in favor of the President and accuses the EC of election fraud.

"We will not accept anything short of a declaration of the legitimate results which points to an NDC Parliamentary majority," John Mahama said while addressing his supporters and the nation after the elections.

But Kwamena Duncan, responding to the issues on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", is of a strong view that Mr. Mahama wants to destablize the country.

"He is depriving this country of this peace'', Kwamena stressed.

According to him, Mr. Mahama's adamant character doesn't augur well for the country.

"I will urge the Ghanaian people to buy petrol and tell him that President Mahama, we have finished voting, give us our peace but if you don't understand it; burn or kill us right now," he fumed.
