Otiko Djaba Donates Wheelchairs To PWDS To Mark Her 59th Birthday Celebration

Executive Director of the Henry Djaba Memorial Foundation, Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba has donated 59 wheelchairs and assistive devices to persons with disabilities to mark her 59th birthday celebration.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Madam Otiko Djaba revealed that only 30% out of over 185,000 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) have wheelchairs or assistive devices.

She stated that this gesture is to help the PWDs with a means of mobility to get involved in social activities and work aimed at improving their self confidence.

She also added that this is in line with the campaign for 1,000 wheelchairs, zimmer frames, white canes, clutches and other assistive devices per Region by the Henry Djaba Memorial Foundation which began in 2018.

She appealed to Ghanaians to support by donating via MOMO number 0248510067 in order to help reach the target of 16000 for all 16 Regions in Ghana.

The public can also contact the foundation on 0241235199 for further inquiries.
