NPP Stalwart, Nana Fredua says there is absolutely nothing wrong with smoking shisha.
Nana Fredua picked an argument on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'' regarding shisha after reviewing a publication by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) that shisha smokers have contributed to the upsurge in Coronavirus cases in the country.
According to Nana Fredua, shisha is not illegal and that it is like smoking cigarette.
"Shisha is not a bad thing. Shisha is that pipe at the bar for smoking . . . If shisha was an illegal thing, they wouldn't be able to smoke it publicly . . . It's the same with cigarette. It's the same with pipe. It's a cultural thing," he insisted as sit-in host of "Kokrokoo", Nana Yaw Kesseh expressed dissenting views.
He, however, advised drinking bars and pubs that distribute shisha to treat it under hygienic conditions in order to prevent the spread of the viral disease.
