International Women’s Day: NPP ABANGA Eulogizes All Women On Their Role In Society Today

Indeed, it was true when the son of Mother Ghana, Dr Kwegyir Aggrey said “If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation.” This has lived on with clear evidence worldwide as the role of women in our society today is an integral part of our development and progress in all spheres of life.

Drawing inspiration from the words of Dr. Aggrey, Mr. Abanga Fusani Yakubu who is popularly known as NPP Abanga shares with Ghanaians and the world at large that as we dedicate this day to celebrate women across the globe and particularly our wonderful women in Ghana, he reminds ourselves to speed up gender parity and women empowerment. This he said “I believe we are not only celebrating the achievements of women in the past, but we need to keep on with ourselves through reflection on the crucial roles of women to our nation building throughout our 64 years of independence, and keep on empowering women with equal opportunities to do more for Ghana’s economic and political development.”

“Today we are observing International Women's Day. This day is a chance for reflection on accomplishments in women's strengthening and for a call to address the difficulties still set up in transit towards accomplishing gender equality and women in leadership. I can't discover the words to communicate how I feel about women. Their solidarity and force, their capacity to keep their heads up regardless. I respect it on each conceivable level. Women run the world, that is the solitary thing I know without a doubt.

Also, NPP Abanga lauded the NPP government under the leadership of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for making women in leadership (governance and politics) his priority and giving women a good place in his government to serve Mother Ghana.

NPP Abanga opined in his last words saying there is no doubt celebrating the day with the theme Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world. “I always want the people of Ghana to understand that they can always trust this government with good policies and governance that seeks the welfare of all women.” This is demonstrated in the current NPP administration, he added. Happy Women's Day to all the incredible women! Shine on... Not just today but every day!”.
