Accra To Embark On Massive Clean-up Exercise Tomorrow - Regional Minister Announces

Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey has announced a massive clean-up exercise in the Region tomorrow.

The clean-up, which will be held on Thursday, April 22, is aimed at keeping the Capital City neat and clean.

The exercise will be conducted in places like Nima, Asylum Down among other areas.

Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, the Minister explained that the exercise feeds into his bigger picture of making Accra work again by setting the Capital City as an example to other cities and towns in the country.

The Minister pledged his full commitment to the course in hope to make the residents adopt the attitude of practicing good hygiene and also all bad habits.

"I've lobbied the national security to supervise the exercise. So, we will get some soldiers, Police and Immigration personnel to join in the exercise. Zoomlion is providing all the logistics. The assemblies, Ayawaso North, East, Central and West Wuogon are coming together with their taskforce and logistics," he revealed.
