#FixTheCountry: An Opportunity To Explain To Ghanaians What We’ve Done With Our Mandate - John Boadu

General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu says the “Fix The Country” hashtag has afforded the Akufo-Addo government and the party the opportunity to further explain to Ghanaians what they have been able to do with the mandate given to them for the past four years.

According to the NPP Chief Scribe, it is a known fact that Ghanaians voted for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the President and their Parliamentarians through the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with the intention to fix the existing challenges in the country.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, John Boadu noted that just as other world leaders and Presidents have been elected to fix the problems in their respective countries, Ghanaians calling on President Akufo-Addo to fix the country is in the right order as that is the mandate of the NPP government, hence, it is not something to argue over.

He, however, sees the clarion call of some Ghanaians as an opportunity for his government to explain further what the Akufo-Addo government has done with the four years mandate as it continues to fix the country and still working hard to address the challenges of the country.

“Maybe what brings to the fore is that it is an opportunity for the government and the party to now further explain to Ghanaians what we have been able to do with the mandate given to us for the past four years in our attempt to continue to fix the country, and when Ghanaians voted again for us in almost 5 months, what are we still doing to help in fixing the country?” he posited.

“We also have the opportunity to tell Ghanaians the vision of the government for the next four years that the government has the mandate to run the country to continue to fix the country. This is not something we have to fight over as a party and a government,” he stressed.

He admonished that in the spirit of tolerance, those Ghanaians who are agitated that some government officials have asked them to fix their attitudes should welcome it in good faith as they have also asked the government to fix the country.
