The new Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan has applauded the MCE of Atebubu-Amanten, Hon. Edward Owusu and the Assembly for being able to generate enough Internally Generated Fund(IGF) to construct major projects in the Municipality

The Regional Minister acknowledged this great achievement of the MCE when the minister visited Atebubu Traditional Council as part of his familiarisation tour through the various districts in the region after his appointment as the new Regional Minister of Bono East

The Minister stated that; when you go to some districts, they are unable to generate enough IGF to even address their recurring expenses such as fuel but on the part of Atebubu-Amanten, they have been able to generate enough revenue to cater for their recurring expenses and even have been able to use part of the IGF to construct major projects such as a High Court and a Circuit Court, A forty bed Capacity Ward at the Atebubu Hospital, NHIS Office, Street Lights and several other rehabilitation works. This commendation was met with several applause and appellations for the MCE such as "Adwumawura" from the people present at the Palace

It would be recalled that recently, the Atebubu Traditional Council, together with the overload of Atebubu Zongo Chiefs also commended the MCE for his unprecedented achievements in the history of the District and even went a step further to appeal to the president to Reappoint Hon. Edward Owusu as their MCE to continue his developmental projects.
