Kate Gyamfua's Burned Excavators: Pratt Gives Thumbs Up To Prez Akufo-Addo

Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has applauded the government for cracking the whip on members of her own New Patriotic Party (NPP) involved in illegal mining.

Mr. Pratt gave the government a thumbs up after hearing about the burning of some excavators allegedly belonging to NPP's National Women's Organizer, Kate Gyamfua.

About fourteen (14) excavators were set on fire by the soldiers deployed to ensure no person engages in galamsey (illegal mining).

The illegal miners have been causing destruction to Ghana's river bodies and forest reserve, and as a matter of urgency, the President deployed 200 soldiers under firm instruction to remove all persons and machines from the mining areas.

Kate Gyamfua reportedly fell a victim for allegedly being involved in galamsey.

Discussing the Military's action on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kwesi Pratt clapped for the President and the Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor saying, ''at first, it was very difficult for a machine belonging to a party guru to be seized but today, whether you're a party guru - NDC, NPP or whoever - if you're doing galamsey, we will deal with you according to the law. It's a good move''.
