Universal Friendship Org. Embarks On Covid- I9 Vaccination Campaign

Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO) in collaboration with Gold Star Airlines have distributed about One Thousand (1000) face shields to trotro drivers drivers and their passengers in some part of Greater Accra Region as part of efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.

The Executive Director of the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), UFO, Samuel Adobah said the move was to sensitize Ghanaians on the need to prevent and adhere to the government measures put in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

According to him, the exercise forms part of their efforts to help the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

The one thousand (1,000) face shields were distributed at four (4) trotro/lorry stations - Circle VIP station, Odawna taxi station amongst others in Accra where the beneficiaries showed concern and were willing to use them.

Mr. Adobah indicated UFO aimed at helping to prevent the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.

So far, about one thousand face shields were distributed to the passengers, drivers,

Lorry station masters and hawkers at this various stations visited also benefited. The two teams used the occasion to interacted with the people and educated them on how to observe social distance, use of hand sanitizer, wearing of face shield and nose masks, in other to prevent themselves from contracting the COVID-19.

Samuel Adobah, who is also a Journalist posited the organization has selected 8 different districts in the Greater Accra Region where they intend to educate the people there about the covd19 vaccine and its important.

The Co-Executive Director Rev. Johnson, Adu statement, cautioned the market Women, hawkers and the trotro drivers to still practice the use of nose masks. He stated clearly that the Covid-19 fight is a share responsibility.

On his part, the CEO of Gold Star Airline Eric Bannerman, emphasised that his outfit is ready to support UFO in the cause of fighting the Covd19 pandemic.
