Caleb Kudah's Arrest: Lt Col Agyeman, Others Fired From National Security Ministry

The Ministry of National Security has concluded its investigations into allege assault of Citi FM journalist, Caleb Kudah, establishing that the conduct of its officers “was inappropriate and contravened the standard operating procedures” of the ministry.

To that effect, the Director of Operations at the National Security, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Agyeman, and three other officers have been axed from the ministry and been asked to report at their respective base for investigations. 

In a press statement, the ministry said:  “The secondment of Lieutenant Colonel Frank Agyeman (Director of Operations) at the Ministry has been reversed. The officer is to report to the Chief of Defence for further investigations and appropriate action.”

Three other police officers involved in the assault have also been withdrawn and instructed to report to the Ghana Police Service for investigation.

The investigation also concluded that the journalist’s conduct was “unlawful.”
