Bono Region: Support The President To Achieve His Vision- Minister To Chiefs

The Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu-Banahene has appealed to the traditional rulers in the region and Ghana to provide the needed assistance to augment the efforts of the President to achieve his visions for the country.

She said there was the need for chiefs to get involved to help the government to succeed as the government desired to sanitise the various sectors and rid them of illegal activities whilest providing the needed tools for socio-economic development.

The Bono Regional Minister disclosed this at a meeting with the Bono Regional House of Chiefs chaired by the Omanhene for the Dormaa Traditional Council Osagyefo Agyeman Badu.

Justina Owusu-Banahene in her speech said there are many issues confronting the chieftaincy institution, one of which is the numerous chieftaincy disputes across the region, adding that, such conflicts impead the development of the areas where these chieftaincy disputes are and therefore the house of chiefs must expedite actions in resolving those disputes to foster development.

The Regional Minister, thanked Nananom in the Region for the enormous support and cooperation she and the Regional Coordinating council have enjoyed over the past years.

The President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs Osagyefo Agyeman Badu the Omanhene for the Dormaa Traditional Council on his part gave their assurance and readiness to support the Minister and the President to achieve their mision and vision for the nation.

Joining her were the Regional Cordinator Directors, the Regional Cordinator for the Ghana School Feeding Programme also second vice chairperson for the New Patriotic Party, Doris Asoma and other high ranking officials.
