Ejura Killing: Kwamena Duncan Sends Condolences To Bereaved Families

Kwamena Duncan has commiserated with the families of the deceased in the Ejura killing incident.

Three persons, Ibrahim Mohammed a.k.a ‘Kaaka’ widely known to be an activist, Abdul Nasir Yussif and Murtala Mohammed, have died and four other people have sustained serious injuries at Ejura in the Ashanti Region.

Ibrahim Mohammed was attacked by a mob last Friday and died on Monday at the hospital and the other two met their untimely death during a Military shooting incident that occurred at Ejura on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

Soldiers and Police officers had been deployed to the area to prevent a protest that was going on but unfortunately resulted in a violent clash as the security forces, upon arrival, fired gunshots into the protesters.

The four injured persons sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital.

Addressing the issue on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', the former Central Regional Minister, Hon. Duncan expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured speedy recovery.

''I extend my condolences to the family that lost their member (Kaaka) and also families of the two deceased protesters. It's very sad. And, with the injured victims, I also plead with the doctors to give them medical treatment'', he said.
